The Kid's Lastest Stats

Yesterday the kids has their 4 yr and 18 month well checks:

Kyla: 4 years old
33lbs, 39" (32%)

Hollister: 18 months
30lbs, 6oz; 341/2" (94%)

Kyla was only the second 4yr old at the office to be able to comprehend doing a hearing test. Meaning she understood that she needed to raise her hand each time she heard a beep. I thought that was a little weird and that most 4 yr olds should be able to do this. Anyway, they seemed a little surprised. Then she was able to do the ABC eye chart, meaning she could read all the letters on the chart rather than using the shapes chart. Again, they seemed impressed that she could do that. Again, I'm thinking that's just another difference I have found about San Antonio, especially after looking at her preschool curriculum for the year. Austin is a little further ahead I believe. She had to get 3 shots and she did so good! Just a little crying.

Hollister only had to get one shot, but a lollipop shortly after calmed him down.

Kyla started her fall season of dance this week and is one of only 3 in her class. She starts school next week and there will only be a total of 10 in her class. Talk about more attention per student in class! It will be a big change for mommy getting everyone up and ready and out the door by 8:30am 3 days a week! I've been trying to stretch Hollister's nap until 2pm since that is when Kyla will get out of school. Only problem is, he ends up sleeping until 5:30!
